Let’s make sure we’re on the same page about my scope of practice as a Holistic Health and Wellness Coach:

Within Scope:

  • Uncovering the full picture of your present reality through an introductory wellbeing assessment

  • Brainstorming, ideating on and defining your ultimate Wellness Vision, comprised of your unique health and wellness-related dreams and goals

  • Mapping out a tangible plan to achieve your Wellness Vision and breaking down larger, long-term goals into smaller, actionable steps

  • Building a holistic health and wellness toolkit with powerful exercises and centering practices to help keep you grounded and in touch with your true, authentic Self

  • Deconstructing and learning to let go of old beliefs and behaviors that no longer serve you

  • Discussing general holistic nutrition practices and evidence-based guidelines for a healthy diet

  • Providing ACLM-recognized information and recommendations for healthy movement, sleep and stress management habits and behaviors

  • Referencing subject matter experts and peer-reviewed research and providing relevant resources when appropriate

  • Coordinating with other healthcare providers and supporting any diets, exercise programs, health protocols or treatment plans prescribed by relevant professionals

  • Providing referrals for other healthcare professionals as necessary and when requested

Out of Scope:

  • Diagnosing medical conditions—this includes interpreting medical data and/or inferring potential conditions based on your symptoms (I’m not a doctor)

  • Prescribing medications or medical diets—this includes providing individualized meal plans and/or specific supplement recommendations (I’m not a registered dietician)

  • Mental health support—this includes any type of psychological assessment and/or therapeutic intervention (I’m not a therapist)

  • Prescribing or providing individualized exercise programs and/or instruction (I’m not a personal trainer or a physical therapist)
